Red, white, and columbia blue Timeline of Major Events 1955-Consolidation of Bloomingdale, Greene Township, Grange Corner, Marshall, and Tangier schools. 1958-Turkey Run High School was built-enrollment 287. 1967-7th & 8th Graders from the above schools transferred to the high school. 1976-Turkey Run Elementary was built. 1985-Major additions and improvements were made. 2006- More major additions and improvements made. The area where the school is now was full of turkeys. They lived in the cool, damp places that existed among all the sandstone slabs. Examples of these are in the state park. These areas were called turkey runs, thus the name Turkey Run.
